New Alley Gates & Locks Program

Beginning in the middle of August through the end of September, the City of Tolleson Field Operation Department will be placing permanent locks on all alley gates within city limits. These locks are electronic and will require the use of an app downloadable on any Android or iphone compatible device. The app will require Bluetooth capability for the device to communicate with the lock. If the resident wishes to download the app they will have unlimited access to their respective locks as long as they are within Bluetooth proximity of the lock, generally 50ft or so. If the resident chooses not to download the app then a temporary code can be issued through the Field Ops section and can only be used for a 4-hour duration in which the code will automatically reset itself after that time frame. Documentation will be required with proof of residency for our staff to issue the app for unlimited use to residents, this includes photo ID with the physical address of the requestor, and renters will be required to provide a utility bill, photo ID and/or some type of lease agreement that can be submitted in person at the Field Operation facility, 9601 W. Jefferson or by email to gelias@tollesonaz.org.

If a resident would like to coordinate access by Field Ops opening the gates due to choosing not to participate with either option, they can coordinate through Field Operations during normal business hours, Monday - Friday 6:00am to 4:00pm or calling the office at (623) 936-7141. (this may include a scheduled weekend service if requested)

For any additional questions or assistance with this program, please contact Field Operations at (623) 936-7141.
