1. Where can I get a Building Permit?

Customers can apply for building permits, zoning variances and business licenses at the front counter of the City of Tolleson Building and Zoning Code Enforcement Department located at City Hall Complex Building, 9555 W. Van Buren, Tolleson, Arizona 85353. Questions regarding zoning, code enforcement, ordinances can also be handled at the counter. You may contact the Building and Zoning Code Enforcement Department at 623-936-7111.

1. What do I do if I have a complaint?

The City of Tolleson Building and Zoning Code Enforcement Department handles all code and ordinance enforcement issues. All complaints are investigated and if found to be in violation, they are issued a notice to abate the situation. All complaints relating to zoning or ordinance violations can be made in person or by calling 623-936-7111.

1. How do I volunteer?

The City of Tolleson welcomes anyone interested in volunteering within our Community Services Department. There are opportunities to help within our public library, senior center, community action program and youth activities such as Summer Reading Program and Youth Day. Primarily, volunteers are needed within the hours of 8 to 5 pm Monday through Friday but some evenings and weekends hours are needed at various times throughout the year. To volunteer, please fill out the Volunteer Application Form. A completed application can be turned in to the Tolleson Public Library by mail, fax or in person. Background checks are completed on all persons age 18 years and older for the protection of our youth. Please feel free to contact the Community Services Department or the Tolleson Public Library at 623-936-7111, for additional information or questions.

1. How do I request traffic enforcement in my neighborhood?

You can request traffic enforcement in your neighborhood by downloading the Traffic Enforcement Request Form. Once the form is completed please return the form to the Tolleson Police Department by fax, mail or in person. You can also e-mail the information requested in the form to the motor unit, Officer Jeff Pizzi, at jpizzi@tollesonaz.org.
