Permit Information
- Most projects require permits; some do not but they may have to meet the zoning requirements in order to proceed
- Questions on whether a permit is required can be answered by staff when you come in for permits or zoning.
- To find out if you need a permit for proposed projects stop by or call the building department.
- The department also handles all code enforcement issues and investigations of alleged code and ordinance violations.

Plan Review/Inspections

- Plan reviews also include
- Zoning Ordinance regulation issues of site plans
- Plan reviews range from 4 to 6 weeks for complex projects
- First review and 1 to 2 weeks
- Simple additions and remodels in residential, small commercial projects
- Upon completion of the first review, if there are comments for corrections, they are type and returned to customer
- Once corrections have been made and re-submitted, then a permit will be issued if all code issues have been satisfied
Inspections
- Provide inspections in all phases of construction during the project
- Inspection requests must be called in one business day prior to the date of inspection by 4:30 p.m.

Code Enforcement
The Department handles all code and ordinance enforcement issues. All complaints are investigated and if found to be in violation, they are issued a notice to abate the situation. All complaints relating to zoning or ordinance violations can be made in person or by calling 623-936-7111.
